Sidnye Smith

Registered Occupational Therapist, OTR

Sidnye graduated from Mississippi State University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Kinesiology. She went on to graduate from the University of Mississippi Medical Center with a Doctorate of Occupational Therapy in May 2021. She has always had a passion for working with children, working as a nanny, mentor, and camp counselor from a young age. Completing her doctoral capstone experience in a pediatric setting finalized her desire and passion to begin a career in pediatrics! She has experience working with children in various settings and has a special interest in sensory processing and integration. She finds fulfillment in guiding children to their full potential and success in their everyday activities. Her favorite aspect of working with children is incorporating play and making it fun while maximizing the child’s independence. Sidnye’ s continuing education interests include reflex integration and sensory approaches to feeding. Sidnye is super excited to work with the children and families of the Cutting Edge community!

Fun Fact

I love to dance! I grew up dancing competitively and was a member of the Mississippi State Pom Squad, a SEC collegiate dance/cheer team. I went to college with/cheered for Dak Prescott. Go Cowboys!
