MariAnn received her Masters degree in Counseling from Syracuse University in 1997. She is a Nationally Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) specializing in developmental disability services as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. MariAnn has special training in Autism Spectrum Disorders using cognitive behavioral methods (CBT). She has also recently obtained her licensure as an LPC-Supervisor (LPC-S). Additionally, she is an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP). She has worked in schools in instructional support as well as a special services counselor, learning specialist and Director of a special education program. She has worked in therapy centers as a counselor, parent trainer, employee trainer, and was involved in the development of special programs for the Autism community. MariAnn has authored and presented the 5 Sense Thinking Series of workshops on topics such as Experiencing Autism, Depression, ADHD and more. MariAnn has been trained to work in both individual and group sessions and is open to serving the child, parent and/or sibling for support services. MariAnn is married with 3 adult sons, one of whom is significantly impacted by Autism. She loves spending time with her family and watching funny movies and psychological thrillers!
