Louisa graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio. She performed and taught ballet, jazz, tap, and modern dance around the country. Louisa performed in a modern dance company that toured the southwest United States. After being injured while in college, she worked with multiple physical therapists and found her passion with physical therapy. She graduated in 1997 from Oklahoma City Community College with an Associate Degree in physical therapy and became a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant. She has worked with children and adults in all therapy settings from hospitals, transitional care settings, home health, schools, and outpatient clinics. She has a passion for helping those with special needs achieve their gross motor skills, improve their independence, and improve access to the community. She has been trained on NDT techniques, strain/counter strain, fall prevention specialist training, LSVT, tai chi, and yoga among others. She enjoys continuing her education with learning new techniques and strategies. Louisa likes to use her creative background to make her therapy sessions fun and believes it is important to collaborate with her colleagues and families to build relationships that make a positive impact. She is excited to work with Cutting Edge to continue her journey helping others in the community.
