Katie graduated from Baylor University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She then attended the University of Texas at Dallas where she received her Master of Science in Communication Disorders. Katie was introduced to speech therapy when her younger brother was diagnosed with Autism, and she has had an interest in working with children and teens with communication disorders ever since. During graduate school, Katie gained experience working with the pediatric population in preschool programs, public schools, and private clinics. Through those experiences she was able to provide therapy for articulation and language disorders, social/pragmatic disorders, augmentative and alternative communication, and sensory based feeding disorders. Katie is joining the Cutting Edge team for her Clinical Fellowship Year. She looks forward to getting to work as a team with her clients, families, and other professionals to help her clients be the best communicators they can be.
