Jennifer graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Victim Studies with a Minor in Human Services from Sam Houston State University in December 2016. While working on her bachelor’s degree, Jennifer fell in love with the counseling profession and decided to pursue a career in counseling. Jennifer graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the CACREP accredited program at Sam Houston State University in May 2021. Jennifer has gained a wide range of experience working directly with clients in the clinical setting since 2019. She has worked with children, adolescents, adults, veterans, people experiencing homelessness, school groups, members of the LGBTQ community, and families in group and individual session settings. She has helped her clients overcome and cope with issues such as trauma, complex trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, social anxiety, low self-esteem, anger, gender dysphoria, and behavior disorders. Jennifer believes that everybody deserves a chance to grow and heal no matter what their past or background consists of. She believes that clients feel the most empowered to change when they are accepted for who they are, shown unconditional positive regard, encouragement, and motivation.
