I graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology. I received a second Bachelor’s degree of science in Communication science from Utah State University. I became a speech therapy assistant in the state of Texas and practiced for a couple of years in a pediatric home health setting. After careful consideration, I decided to further my education and pursue a career in occupational therapy assistant because I have a strong compassion for working with children with special needs. I graduated with an associate in science in occupational therapy assistant program in 2019 from St. Catherine’s University. During my fieldwork experience, I got a chance to work in a variety of settings such as an outpatient pediatric clinic working with children and a skilled nursing facility working with older adults. I am a current member of American Occupational Therapy Association.
