Angie Heinzinger

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, COTA

Angie graduated from Green River College in 2012 with an Associates degree in Applied Science­ Occupational Therapy Assistant. In 2018, she decided to return to school, earning a Bachelor of Science in Behavior and Occupation Studies and Minor in Psychology through the University of Cincinnati. Angie recently graduated with a Master of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Findlay in June 2023 and is currently studying to take the NBCOT exam to become certified as an OT. Angie has always enjoyed working with the pediatric population and has worked in various pediatric settings including schools, home health, and outpatient throughout her career as a COTA. She strives to meet the current needs of all clients and their families and to collaborate on meaningful/inspirational goals to promote independence as well as positive engagement in daily activities. Angie has completed continuing education in Cortical Vision Impairment, ADHD Strategies for the Clinic, and Movement and Mindfulness for Lifelong Learning. She has also practiced under mentoring OTs with certifications in Handwriting Without Tears, Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT), and Sensory Integration, and in the future would like to explore becoming specialized in these areas of practice.
