Katherine Gort

Katherine Gort – Lead Occupational Therapist

Katie graduated from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, New Orleans with a Masters in Occupational Therapy in 2011. While a graduate student, she received clinical experience in the inpatient, outpatient, and pediatric settings. She has a love for children and has focused her career in pediatrics. Katie has experience working with children with a variety of diagnoses, including autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, ADHD, sensory processing disorders, and other genetic and neurological disorders. Katie is trained in Brain Gym 101, aquatic therapy, and NDT facilitation techniques, sensory integration, Interactive Metronome, Therapeutic Listening, In Time, and Kinesiotaping.

Vickie Liang – OTR

Vickie received her Bachelor of Science in Human Development from Cornell University in 2010 and her Master of Science in Family and Child Studies from Texas State University in 2012. She graduated with her Master of Occupational Therapy degree from Texas Woman’s University in 2015. She is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, the Texas Occupational Therapy Association, and Pi Theta Epsilon Occupational Therapy Honor Society. As a graduate research assistant, Vickie presented a research poster at the 2015 Texas Woman’s University Student Creative Arts and Research Symposium.  In collaboration with faculty from the college of nursing and school of occupational therapy at TWU, she led a workshop regarding the application of telehealth in occupational therapy at the 2015 Texas Occupational Therapy Association Mountain Central Conference. Vickie is trained in CranioSacral Therapy, Interactive Metronome, NDT Pediatric Facilitation Techniques, Handwriting Without Tears, and Kinesiotaping. She is a Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS). She is excited to be a part of the Cutting Edge team and to have the opportunity to work with families in Houston and Katy.

Catherine Angel – OTR

Catherine graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2013 with a Bachelors of Science in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences and is a licensed Speech Language Pathology Assistant. In 2017 Catherine returned to school to pursue her passion as an Occupational Therapist. She has a strong enthusiasm for the pediatric population and is excited to be a part of like-minded therapists at Cutting Edge. Catherine currently resides in Cypress, Texas.

Ashtyn Antley

Ashtyn Antley – Lead Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Ashtyn graduated from University of Louisiana at Monroe from the Occupational Therapy Assistant program in 2014. She came to Cutting Edge with a passion for pediatrics. She wants to pursue that passion and help each child reach their highest level of independence as they transition throughout life. Ashtyn is a certified InTime provider through Advance Brain Technologies. She plans on excelling as a licensed therapist by enrolling in continuing education courses in order to stay up to date on the latest information and technology. She is proud to dedicate her time to delivering the unique services that Cutting Edge has to offer.

Lindsey Owens – Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Lindsey Owens graduated from Lone Star College in Tomball Texas in May of 2015 with an associate of occupational therapy assistant. She comes to Cutting Edge Pediatric Therapy with experience from a sensory clinic, a private pediatric clinic, and home health services, where she was trained in Handwriting without Tears. She has dedicated herself to the pediatric population and works diligently to facilitate functional improvement, while making therapy fun for the children she works with.

Physical Therapy

Bianca Hoang – Physical Therapist

Bianca Hoang has been a physical therapist since 1999. She received her bachelor of science degree in Kinesiology from University of Texas at Austin, master’s of science in Physical Therapy from Texas State University, and doctorate in Physical Therapy from MaryMount University in Virginia. She has assisted in developing hospital based programs for lymphedema, child weight management, and a hip preserving protocol. She currently lives in the Sugar Land area with her daughter, and enjoys scuba diving and travel around the world.

Carrie Hanaoka-Jarrett – Physical Therapy Assistant

Carrie is a licensed physical therapist assistant and has been practicing since 2010 after receiving a Bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock and her PTA degree from St. Philips College in San Antonio. While in school, Carrie received valuable clinical experience in skilled nursing, outpatient and home health settings with a variety of patient demographics including adult and pediatrics. For the last four years, Carrie has been working with the pediatric population in the home health setting. She has gained valuable knowledge and experience with a variety of developmentally and medically fragile children. Carrie is eager to return to a clinical setting to expand her knowledge and skill set, while also pursing continued education relevant to her work with Cutting Edge.

Certified Speech Therapists

Tatum Budreau – Speech Language Pathologist

Tatum Budreau is from Lansing, Michigan. She brings over 15 years’ experience to the Cutting Edge family. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Disorders in December 1997 from Central Michigan University. After graduation, she worked as an SLPA for 6 years treating both adult and pediatric populations in an inpatient/outpatient rehabilitation hospital gaining valuable experience working with stroke, traumatic brain injury, and feeding disorders. In 2003, Tatum relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona where she worked for the school district in a variety of settings including pre-k through high school. In December 2005, Tatum completed her master’s degree at Northern Arizona University in Speech Language Pathology and began her clinical fellowship year servicing pediatric home health clients with speech, language and swallowing delays. In 2009 Tatum moved to Katy, Texas and initially serviced the adult population in the skilled nursing and assisted living settings before returning to her love of pediatrics at an outpatient private practice setting. Tatum has been a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association, holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence, since 2005. Tatum is very excited to begin her journey with you as the new speech therapy coordinator at Katy CEPT. She brings a strong background in sensory integration and feeding experience to the Katy CEPT team.

Ashley Abrams – Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

Ashley Abrams graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from Texas State University. As a licensed Speech- Language Pathologist Assistant, Ashley has worked in clinical settings including out patient facilities in central Texas and in Houston. Ashley is passionate about the pediatric population and service to the community through therapy and awareness. She is so excited to be a part of the CEPT team and is ready to make the difference. Ashley plans to further her education and purse a Master’s degree. She lives in Katy, Texas.

Ainslie Hale – Speech Language Pathologist

Ainslie Hale graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders in May 2016 and received her Masters in Communication Sciences and Disorders in May 2018. While a graduate student, she received clinical experience working with pediatrics at outpatient clinics, home health, preschools, and a university clinic. She also received clinical experience with adults at a university clinic, inpatient rehab at a hospital. Ainslie is joining Cutting Edge for her Clinical Fellowship year. She is excited to serve the families of Cutting Edge Pediatric and Adult Therapy. Ainslie is currently residing in Katy.


Administrative Staff

Stacie Gay – Office Manager

Stacie Gay holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Texas and is now calling Houston home. Stacie has been working with children since 2002 and has worked in different fields of Admin and Education since then. She has had the privilege of working with many different types of children and adults and is looking forward to all the new adventures that await her at Cutting Edge Pediatric Therapy. In her spare time, Stacie loves reading, spending time with her family, and spoiling her Labrador Retriever named Abby.

Krizia Cruz – Office Coordinator

Krizia joined our Houston team September 2016, she started in the medical field back in 2008. She received her MA in 2008. Which led her to clinical research than moved to oncology throughout the years. She has two beautiful girls that make her love for children stronger. Krizia on her free time likes to enjoy time with her daughters, taking them to fun children places. She is very excited to join the Cutting Edge team and looks forward to connect with the patients and their parents.


Victoria Stremmel – Office Technician

Victoria Stremmel is a Certified Medical Assistant and she began working as a MA at a family care clinic in 2016 where she learned valuable skills to help her achieve her goals of working in pediatrics. She received her Medical Assistant Certification from Pima Medical Institute and is currently studying for her Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration. Victoria recently relocated to Katy, TX to buy a home and settle down with her family. She spends her free time with her fiancé and her 6-year-old son. She is very happy to call Cutting Edge her new work home and looks forward to all of the great work she will do.
