Occupational Therapists

Vickie Liang – Registered Lead Occupational Therapist, OTR

Vickie received her Bachelor of Science in Human Development from Cornell University in 2010 and her Master of Science in Family and Child Studies from Texas State University in 2012. She graduated with her Master of Occupational Therapy degree from Texas Woman’s University in 2015. She is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, the Texas Occupational Therapy Association, and Pi Theta Epsilon Occupational Therapy Honor Society. As a graduate research assistant, Vickie presented a research poster at the 2015 Texas Woman’s University Student Creative Arts and Research Symposium. In collaboration with faculty from the college of nursing and school of occupational therapy at TWU, she led a workshop regarding the application of telehealth in occupational therapy at the 2015 Texas Occupational Therapy Association Mountain Central Conference. Vickie is trained in Listening Therapy, CranioSacral Therapy, Interactive Metronome, NDT Pediatric Facilitation Techniques, Handwriting Without Tears, and Kinesiotaping. She is a Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS). She is excited to be a part of the Cutting Edge team and to have the opportunity to work with families in Houston and Katy.

Dana Sonnino – Registered Occupational Therapist, OTR

Dana graduated from the University of Arizona in 2009 with a Bachelors in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences and a minor in special education. Dana began her career as a licensed Speech Language Pathology Assistant and worked for 5 years before returning to school to pursue her passion as an Occupational Therapist. In 2015, Dana enrolled at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and graduated with a Masters in Occupational Therapy where she received clinical experience in a skilled nursing facility, hospital, outpatient, school setting, and home health. Dana has experience working with children with a variety of diagnoses including autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and hearing loss.  Dana has knowledge in the fundamentals of American Sign Language and is bilingual in Italian.  She strives to foster a positive atmosphere and is dedicated to helping her patients reach their full potential. Dana is excited to be a part of Cutting Edge and to have the opportunity to work with families in the Houston area.

Favorite Movies: I don’t really have favorite movies, however I love watching Parenthood and Friends.

 Janet Lindenmoyer – Registered Occupational Therapist, OTR

Janet graduated magna cum laude from Sam Houston State University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Biology. She received her Master of Occupational Therapy degree in 2013 from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX where she was a member of the Pi Theta Epsilon Occupational Therapy Honor Society.  Janet is trained in Handwriting Without Tears, Zones of Regulation, and is certified to complete the Assisting Hand Assessment for children diagnosed with hemiplegic cerebral palsy and brachial plexus injury. She has experience treating children and young adults with autism, cerebral palsy, developmental delay, Down syndrome, chromosomal abnormality, ADHD, sensory processing disorders, muscular dystrophy, dysgraphia, ataxia, brachial plexus injury, dyspraxia, and various other disorders. Janet has a passion for working with children and their families to fulfill their goals and improve their quality of life. She is so excited to be a member of the Cutting Edge Pediatric Therapy team!

Tanesha Smith – Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, COTA

Tanesha graduated from Texas College in Tyler TX with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology in 2007 and from Panola College in Carthage TX from the Occupational Therapy Assistant program in 2016. She has a deep rooted background with Cutting Edge and a passion for pediatrics. Tanesha plans to expand her skills and knowledge as a licensed therapist by completing continuing education courses that will give her access to be updated in the ground breaking treatment advancements for the uplifting of pediatric population. She is excited to be apart of Cutting Edge and to serve the great families of the Katy and Houston area.

Physical Therapy

Carrie Hanaoka-Jarrett – Physical Therapy Assistant, PTA

Carrie is a licensed physical therapist assistant and has been practicing since 2010 after receiving a Bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock and her PTA degree from St. Philips College in San Antonio. While in school, Carrie received valuable clinical experience in skilled nursing, outpatient and home health settings with a variety of patient demographics including adult and pediatrics. For the last four years, Carrie has been working with the pediatric population in the home health setting. She has gained valuable knowledge and experience with a variety of developmentally and medically fragile children. Carrie is eager to return to a clinical setting to expand her knowledge and skill set, while also pursuing continued education relevant to her work with Cutting Edge.

Favorite Movie: I am a sucker for any romantic comedy, but also love a good horror film. My husband and I had our first official date watching The Descent many years ago.

Hometown: I am a southern California girl born and raised, but moved to the Katy area for high school where I graduated as a proud Cinco Ranch Cougar.

Fun Fact: “I have 2 amazing little boys, 7 and almost 4. We have fun roughhousing, playing sports, and spending time outside getting dirty, but also love to chill at home with snacks and any Disney movie… because who doesn’t?!”

Certified Speech Therapists

Ainslie Hale – Speech Language Pathologist, SLP

Ainslie Hale graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders in May 2016 and received her Masters in Communication Sciences and Disorders in May 2018. While a graduate student, she received clinical experience working with pediatrics at outpatient clinics, home health, preschools, and a university clinic. She also received clinical experience with adults at a university clinic, inpatient rehab at a hospital. Ainslie is joining Cutting Edge for her Clinical Fellowship year. She is excited to serve the families of Cutting Edge Pediatric and Adult Therapy. Ainslie is currently residing in Katy.

Jennifer Herbert – Speech Language Pathologist, SLP

Jennifer graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Communication Disorders in 1997. In 1999, she received a Masters of Science degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Southern Mississippi. Jennifer is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in both Texas and Louisiana. Additionally, she is a Certified (CCC-SLP) member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Jennifer has over 11 years of experience working in the field of Speech-Language Pathology. She has worked in both schools and outpatient settings. Her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist has been dedicated to working with the pediatric population. She has provided assessments and therapy to both pre-school and school-aged children. Jennifer has treated many types of communication disorders including the following: expressive and receptive language, pragmatic language, articulation, apraxia of speech and fluency. She has worked with children with diagnoses of Autism, Developmental Delays and Down Syndrome. Jennifer enjoys furthering her knowledge by completing continuing education in a variety of areas of interest relating to the field of Speech-Language Pathology. She currently resides in Katy, Texas.

Katherine Gort – Registered Occupational Therapist, OTR

Katie graduated from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, New Orleans with a Masters in Occupational Therapy in 2011. While a graduate student, she received clinical experience in the inpatient, outpatient, and pediatric settings. She has a love for children and has focused her career in pediatrics. Katie has experience working with children with a variety of diagnoses, including autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, ADHD, sensory processing disorders, and other genetic and neurological disorders. Katie is trained in Brain Gym 101, aquatic therapy, and NDT facilitation techniques, sensory integration, Interactive Metronome, Therapeutic Listening, In Time, and Kinesiotaping.

Bianca Hoang – Physical Therapist, PT

Bianca Hoang has been a physical therapist since 1999. She received her bachelor of science degree in Kinesiology from University of Texas at Austin, master’s of science in Physical Therapy from Texas State University, and doctorate in Physical Therapy from MaryMount University in Virginia. She has assisted in developing hospital based programs for lymphedema, child weight management, and a hip preserving protocol. She currently lives in the Sugar Land area with her daughter, and enjoys scuba diving and travel around the world.

Tatum Budreau – Speech Language Pathologist, SLP

Tatum Budreau is from Lansing, Michigan. She brings over 15 years’ experience to the Cutting Edge family. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Disorders in December 1997 from Central Michigan University. After graduation, she worked as an SLPA for 6 years treating both adult and pediatric populations in an inpatient/outpatient rehabilitation hospital gaining valuable experience working with stroke, traumatic brain injury, and feeding disorders. In 2003, Tatum relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona where she worked for the school district in a variety of settings including pre-k through high school. In December 2005, Tatum completed her master’s degree at Northern Arizona University in Speech Language Pathology and began her clinical fellowship year servicing pediatric home health clients with speech, language and swallowing delays. In 2009 Tatum moved to Katy, Texas and initially serviced the adult population in the skilled nursing and assisted living settings before returning to her love of pediatrics at an outpatient private practice setting. Tatum has been a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association, holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence, since 2005. Tatum is very excited to begin her journey with you as the new speech therapy coordinator at Katy CEPT. She brings a strong background in sensory integration and feeding experience to the Katy CEPT team.

Administrative Staff

Stacie Gay – Office Manager

Stacie Gay holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Texas and is now calling Houston home. Stacie has been working with children since 2002 and has worked in different fields of Admin and Education since then. She has had the privilege of working with many different types of children and adults and is looking forward to all the new adventures that await her at Cutting Edge Pediatric Therapy. In her spare time, Stacie loves reading, spending time with her family, and spoiling her Labrador Retriever named Abby.

Favorite Movie: Pride and Prejudice

Hometown: I was raised all over the world (Army Brat), but I was born in Corbin, Kentucky (the birthplace of Kentucky Fried Chicken). However, I consider Texas to be my home state.

Fun Fact: “I am very artsy and creative and like to crotchet and do arts and crafts in my free time (so everyone gets wreaths for Christmas).”

Lakeisha Laws – Office Coordinator

LaKeisha joined us with multiple years of medical office experience which include benefit verification & scheduling since 2006. Previously, she has held positions as a Customer Service Representative, Patient Care Assistant, and Scheduler for specialties such as Radiology, Otorhinolaryngology, Infusion Therapy, & Pain Management. In her spare time, she enjoys travel, the outdoors, and socializing with family & friends. LaKeisha is looking forward to building a rapport with our patients and their families to create positive experiences and she’s truly excited to be a part of the Cutting Edge Pediatric Therapy team.
