We have been doing great here at Cutting Edge! We are an essential business and have been able to remain open, and we are continuing to offer in-clinic and telehealth visits. We will continue to offer telehealth visits as long as insurance will continue to pay for it. We hope that they will continue to pay for it for a while, but now that we are no longer under a “shelter at home” order, it’s possible that insurance will only offer this benefit until the end of May.
Ask a Therapist
In the meantime, our therapists have come up with a great idea! It’s called “Ask a Therapist.” We are still working on figuring out the structure of this, but you will be able to have an appointment time with a therapist on the phone, or a virtual appointment where you can talk to one of our PT, OT or speech therapists. This will be a nice option that allows us to follow all the safety guidelines, while still allowing you to be able to talk to the clinicians.
How It Will Work
This will be an “ask me anything” appointment. You might have a question about development, or about whether or not an activity would be a good one—whatever your questions are, we want to be able to accommodate you.
So please look out for our announcements about “Ask a Therapist.” If that’s something you’re interested in, you’re welcome to call or email the office to get your name on the interest list. We hope to launch it next week! Stay tuned!
